One way conversation
I realised that I am er not as young as I wish I feel when I went to the halloween party after throwing on what seems like a luxurious bathrode (you know, those with fur on the brim) and the devil's horns. That was it! Nothing else. Unlike when I was still young and jumpy, I actually took pains to make my own costumes. Gosh those were the days.
Those were beside the point. The Boyfriend got a little too high and started making future plans on the dance floor.
Drunken BF: Where would us like to settle down? Giggled, giggled, giggled.
Me: ......... hyperventilated, hyperventilated, hyperventilated.
D.BF: Come on, name a place! Name a place! Giggled, giggled, giggled.
Me: France will be nice. Now feeling more composed after realising that he might not even remember this conversation at all. Phew.
D.BF: Why? I hate the bloody french! (I am quite sure that he did not use the word bloody, I merely substituted it to make it sounds more civilised)
Me: UK is good for me too. Sheeplish.
D.BF: I know!! Let's go Barcelona! Yes! We will go Barcelona! I can swear in Spanish! It will come in handy!
Thank you very much. Now I am going to settle down in Spain because he can swear in Spanish, that's sound fantastic, doesn't it? And maybe we should in another lifetime settle down in Japan because I can order food in Japanese. I am not complaining about this darling of mine, in fact I think I am starting to get used to him and am falling in love with him. Maybe because it is always a one way conversation/ decision. Ok just to be fair, he always asks me for suggestions. But my suggestions will always remain invaluable and will be further explored in another lifetime. How democratic. Frankly, I am not disturbed by this as I am really easy going, anything that doesn't kill me is acceptable. And to tell the greater truth, I appreciate that because it makes my life easier and I can just go with the flow.
Que pase un buen día
